I thought it might be helpful to see what my own personal morning routine looks like!
When I made my own lifestyle transformation a few years ago, I overhauled my mornings and I haven’t looked back.
My #1 priority for my own morning routine: Start my day in a calm, peaceful way so that I feel centered.
I start my day between 6 and 7 am. If I go to bed on time, my body natural wakes up and I don’t have to set an alarm! I make my bed, drink a glass of water, feed the dogs, and put away the dishes while my coffee is brewing.
Next I turn on some quite music and take a mindful moment. Sometimes this is mediation, journaling, yoga or some combination. I spend as much time as I need (or have). Then it is time for a healthy breakfast and I am ready for my day!
Your routine will probably look different than mine! What makes it work for me is I give myself the time I need to get centered. I keep it simple and something that I can stick to even when I travel or have a busy day.
